Spring Events Needed for Club

All the cold weather and snow notwithstanding, spring will be with us sooner than we realize, and the Bungalow Club is in need of houses for upcoming bungalow events.  Many people turned out for the February "Two-fer for Troostwood" and we hope that they came away inspired to open their houses for tour.

Opening your house couldn't be easier - just set a date and time and guests will show up, with food and drink to share and an eagerness to see your house and the story you have to tell about it.  Although we are a "bungalow club", we appreciate seeing any older house ... and we've even been fortunate enough to tour some new ones as well.  Your house doesn't have to be "magazine-perfect"; many bungalow club members appreciate a work-in-progress, because chances are good that they've experienced what you're going through now with a renovation, or may soon be there themselves.

If you'd like to host a bungalow club event, please notify Jan Bentley by e-mail or by phone at 816-363-0349

February Metropolis Magazine Features Article about Studio 804, KCK home

Many Bungalow Clubbers attended a recent KCBC event in a stunning Studio 804 home on Springfield Street in Kansas City, Kansas, out near the KU Medical Center.  Studio 804 is run by architect Dan Rockhill out of the University of Kansas architecture school, and they are famous for building innovative modern houses around the KCK area.  Metropolis magazine's February issue features an article about the Springfield House, offering an interesting glimpse into the process behind Studio 804's work and how these amazing buildings are achieved.
